My contribution to Rita Bullwinkle’s gorgeous Oral Florist project is called Coral Castle. I listen to these to help me calm down for sleep.
Here’s the first of what I’m hoping will be a lot of collaborations with my sister, visual artist Emily Hochman. This is just a little project where we made a tarot card to contribute to Diagram Magazine’s 20th anniversary deck. It’s not out yet but here’s the image on my instagram.

McSweeney’s thought of me for the pandemic and is doing another printing of One Hundred Apocalypses. That is some kind of sweet.
Relatedly, one of my favorite living writers, Deb Olin Unferth, recommended it among five favorites from the press.
I used passages cut from my novel in progress to make a story for McSweeney’s 50th issue. It’s a beautiful collection of work with all the gorgeous surprises you expect (ha) from McS design.
